Jake Tornatzky started in the solar energy field with his Bachelor of Science at the University of California at Santa Cruz, focusing on environmental housing design. Upon graduation in 1990, he entered the solar energy field in the San Francisco Bay area and has worked on the design, installation and service of a variety of solar energy systems that utilize available technologies. The solar company that he formed in 1998, Declination Solar, has been successful in designing and installing solar for homes and businesses.
