NB 102: Build a Strawbale House

Have you ever had the desire to build your own strawbale structure from scratch? This popular course will introduce you to the fundamental concepts and skills needed to get started on your own project. The course will cover: successful strawbale design, proven construction techniques, foundation systems, framing doors and windows, interior details, building to code, and other important topics.

You will help build a small load-bearing structure, including foundation and roofing. In addition, you will have the opportunity to mix and apply various plasters.

	Allen Martin Allen Martin has over 20 years experience in residental and commerical building, ten of those in strawbale and greenbuilding. Allen is a certified green building professional and currently works for Sonoma County as a building inspector.
