BD 301: Brew Up a Biodiesel Business

Biodiesel is becoming a hotter topic every day as oil prices continue to climb. There is currently not enough biodiesel supply to meet consumer demand, creating a huge opportunity for people interested in getting involved in the biodiesel industry.

Find out how you can make your own biodiesel for use in your community, support local biodiesel co-ops, or start a small business in biodiesel distribution or retail.

Course topics include:

Fuel procurement and quality testing
Hands-on equipment building, maintenance and plumbing
Taxes, permits and zoning
Procuring a supply of vegetable oil
Developing your market
The US Biodiesel industry

By the end of this workshop, you’ll be well on your way to getting started in the rewarding biodiesel industry!
