RE 131: Generate Clean Power with Wind

Wind energy is a clean, renewable source of electric power that qualifies for a 50% rebate in California and other states. Is wind energy right for you? What questions should you ask yourself and your suppliers?

This exciting workshop is designed to answer these questions and more.

Course topics include:

� How to assess wind resource potential and determine optimal system size

� How to select & install towers & turbines

� Wind plants and governing techniques

� Wind speed ratings

� Storage systems�including net metering, line-ties, and batteries

� Components�including controllers, inverters, and wiring

The workshop will also include case studies of a variety of wind power systems.
