Home NB 101B: Carpentry for Natural Building May 5-6 2007
The glamorous parts of natural buildings are the wall systems: cob, strawbale, earth plasters. But natural buildings also require carpentry. This class will discuss how to integrate carpentry with natural walls, and how to deal with unconventional wood such as round poles. We will work on several aspects of the intern shower-house, including the roof and rough framing for windows and doors. Some prior experience with carpentry is helpful but not necessary. Location Solar Living Center 13771 S. Highway 101 Hopland CA 95449 Facility: Solar Living Center Room: Will be posted upon arrival Instructors
