Youth Field Trips
A visit to the Solar Living Center gives students the unique experience of engaging with exhibits & our interns in a way that explores a range of ideas about renewable energy and sustainable living at a level that is age appropriate. Designed for grades 1st through 12th, educators can take their students on a field trip to the Solar Living Center's "outdoor classroom" to learn about renewable energy, sustainable living, alternative fuels, natural building, gardening, raising chickens and much more.

Unscheduled school trips to The Solar Living Center
The staff at SLI are not prepared to give educational tours for unscheduled visits. We prefer that your group schedule a date and time and receive the benefit of a fun, interactive, informative, inspirational tour. *If you are planning on bringing your class or group to the Solar Living Center without a pre-arranged appointment we ask that you arrive with the recommended number of chaperones (see above) and that you call our office a week in advance of your trip so that we know your group is coming on a self-guided tour. There is a $3 fee for each student & chaperone which can be paid in the office M-F 9am to 5pm.
