Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Joins Solar Living Institute Board of Advisors
Top Environmental Attorney to Help the Original Solar and Sustainability Training Center
Hopland, CA. October 11, 2010 -- Solar Living Institute today announced Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will serve as the newest addition to SLI’s Board of Advisors. Mr. Kennedy joins other environmental leaders to assist the institute in promoting sustainable living through inspirational environmental education and solar training workshops.
“Bobby Kennedy Jr. is a true defender of the environment and his keynote address was the highlight at SolFest, our annual fundraiser in September,” stated John Schaeffer, SLI’s Founder and Board President. “We are fortunate to have him help advance our mission, along with other advisors including actor and activist Ed Begley Jr. and Randy Hayes of the Rainforest Action Network.”“I am a big supporter of harnessing the full potential of renewable energy in this country,” stated Robert F. Mr. Kennedy was named one of Time magazine's “Heroes for the Planet” for his success helping Riverkeeper lead the fight to restore the Hudson River. The group's achievement helped spawn more than 130 Waterkeeper organizations across the globe.
Mr. Kennedy serves as senior attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council and is a partner in the clean tech work of Silicon Valley’s VantagePoint Ventures.
