NABCEP Entry Level Exam Info
Solar PV students that have received their certificate of completion from Solar Living Institute's PV200 Solar PV Design & Installation Intensive or the Online Solar PV Design & Installation may register to take the NABCEP entry level exam.
There are 2 testing formats from which to choose, the paper and pencil test at the Solar Living Center or computer-based testing at testing centers across the US. The computer based testing is available to take at any time at your convenience. Log onto Prometric to determine the testing center nearest you. The paper and pencil exam is given approximately three times a year at the Solar Living Institute in Hopland, check here to see the next date.
Here's the procedure:
1.) Review the NABCEP entry-level learning objectives,
2.) Read the Candidate Information Sheet, and
3.) Download the Candidate Eligibility Form, complete it, and

4.) Complete your registration for the exam.

Note: The exam must be taken within 6 months of completing a 5-day intensive, and 15 days from completion of the online instruction.
