Joe JordanJoe Jordan has been instrumental in photovoltaic installations on local schools, city agencies, residences and commercial buildings in the Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay regions. He has written successful solar energy grants, established regional partnerships, trained staff, designed and is now teaching solar and renewable energy courses at Cabrillo College. He serves on the Advisory Board of Solar Energy International (Carbondale, CO.), the Board of Directors of Ecology Action of Santa Cruz, and formerly on the Santa Cruz City Energy Working Group and Public Works Commission. In addition, Joe has been an atmospheric and space scientist for many years at NASA Ames Research Center and the SETI Institute in Mountain View, CA. He does extensive science education and service work, much of it relating to astronomy and renewable energy – including radio and TV programs, and project management of several education grants. |
